Plant Styling Ideas

In the last few years, my house has become a little bit overrun with house plants. Currently, my house plants take up just about every surface in my house, much to the frustration of some of the people who live with me. At first, my house plants brightened up my home but as my collection grew, things look more and more cluttered and I’m able to get less use out of desks, tables and countertops.

As someone who enjoys house plants and doesn’t want to either stop collecting plants or drastically reduce the number of plants that I own, I’ve been thinking about ways to style and display houseplants more thoughtfully. To do this, I’ve been visiting plant shops to get ideas on how to better use my plants to enhance my home’s overall style.

I love the idea of hanging plants from the ceiling and have never thought about hanging plants at different levels, grouping them together to create an interesting set.

My favorite styling technique was directly connecting plants to walls with clips made especially to suspend terracotta pots.

I also liked how racks could also do the same, perfectly space out plants to make a beautiful plant grid.

As a terracotta lover, I appreciate finding different terracotta styles that look more aged and come in different colors.

If you’re interested in these pots, they are marked as being made by Robert & Stevens (not sponsored!). You can find a ton of these style of pots on Amazon if you don’t have a local shop nearby.
